With a Guaranteed Income policy, you protect yourself against the consequences of illness or accident. The insurance provides a replacement income that compensates your professional income.

• What is compensated? Loss of income caused by physiological or economic invalidity, as a result of an illness or accident.
• Physiological invalidity. Physiological invalidity is the impairment of physical integrity, in other words physical invalidity as a result of illness or accident.
• Economic invalidity. Economic invalidity is a reduction of fitness for work. This economic invalidity is determined during the first year entirely in relation to the insured's actual profession at that time.
• Pay-out. The level of the pay-out (annual income) that you receive after illness or accident is determined by the level of invalidity. The pay-out is determined at the highest level of invalidity, either physiological or economic invalidity. 67 % invalidity is treated as equivalent to complete invalidity, so that you receive a full pay-out. You receive the pay-out as long as the temporary or permanent invalidity is present, until retirement age. In the event of a pay-out, the premium is also reimbursed.
• The Guaranteed income policy provides for one pay-out system:
  Ideal income rising 3 %: The income provided, the pay-out for incapacity for work and the premium rise annually by 3 %, calculated on the initial amount. The rises occur from the beginning, unlike the rising income where the rise only starts from the time when you become unfit for work. An important advantage is that the premium for the higher cover is calculated on the basis of the scale of premiums for the age at the start of the contract.
• Own-risk period. The own risk period is 30, 60, 90 days. This is the period of incapacity for work in which you do not receive any benefit. The longer this period, the lower the premium you pay for your guaranteed income.

• The Guaranteed income is always a tailor-made insurance.
• Ideal income rising by 3%
• No fee if the premium is paid in instalments
• If you are self-employed, you can if you wish eliminate the own-risk period for total disability (i.e. disability of 67% or above) by paying a 10% additional premium.
• Ideal income rising 3 %
• Young self-employed people (<35 years) enjoy a 10 % discount on their Guaranteed Income premium for the first five years.
• You can deduct the premium entirely against tax, as a business expense, if you substantiate the costs. The income paid out is taxed as replacement income.
